Long Day

It was a long, hot and successful weekend at the ball fields, but, as you can see, she’s completely worn out! Of course, the dog was just happy to have us home ’cause that meant she didn’t have to be outside by herself anymore. She’s accustomed to lazy days spent snoozing, not running around in the heat!

We have this weekend off from both work & softball and I hope to get in some relaxing time by the pool. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

(500) Days of Summer

(500) Days of Summer is one of those films that makes one want to drop everything and simply search for romance in life. This cool indie film is very appealing for its uniqueness and artistic edge. This movie truly was not what I was expecting to see when I went into the theaters, but it definitely lived up to my high expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of watching this film and thought it was great. I would love to watch this film again on my http://www.cannonsatellite.com whenever I get a chance.

The romance between the lead characters is undeniable in this film. The only sad thing is that there are obstacles constantly getting in between their romance. The two characters have work which interferes with their lives, as well as other obstacles. The two characters are constantly trying to find just a spare minute to see each other whenever they can and truly enjoy every second of that time when they are together. I think this film is just so incredible, because it reveals just how powerful love can be. Love can truly overcome all obstacles in life and this film does a great job of showing that. Overall, I would definitely recommend this movie for a cute night at home with one’s little romantic interest. It will definitely ignite a few sparks!

Busy June

June has been flying by so fast, I feel like I haven’t had much time to just breath!  There have all ready been multiple softball tournaments, practices and league games, with more to come.  In between, I’m trying to work and keep some semblance of order in the house.  We’ve also had a few days with a house guest, thankfully on a weekend we didn’t have any softball.

I’m supposed to be teaching my daughter how to drive.  She got her permit last week and we’ve been so busy that we’ve only had 2 opportunities to go driving.  She doesn’t seem to be in any hurry, in fact, I think she’s a little bit nervous, but we will get it done sooner or later!

Today is the first official day of summer, although it’s been in the triple digits temperature wise here in the Dallas area for the last week.    I do hope everyone has a wonderful summer!

When’s the last time you purchased bandages for your kids?  Seriously, we go through bandages in our house like there’s no tomorrow and because they’re so expensive, they can sure put a dent in our budget!

I was recently at Walgreens picking up a prescription and noticed the Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products that are available, including bandages. I picked up a box and started to compare them to the brand name products.  To my pleasant surprise, they look and feel like the name brands, but their price is way better!  I figure it’s the one are of rising healthcare costs that I have control over and I’ve been very pleased with the Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products  bandages.

Walgreens is committed to improving your everyday health through the prevention and early detection of today’s leading diseases – heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Fastpitch Softball

June 2, 2011 on 8:38 pm | In Family | Comments Off

Yep, it’s fastpitch softball season and it’s in full swing.  In the month of June, my daughter’s team is playing in 3 separate tournaments, the first one being this weekend in Oklahoma City.  We leave tomorrow and will spend 3 nights up there.  The cool thing is that we will also get to go watch 1 or 2 of the college World Series games on Saturday night.  Not sure which teams will be playing, but it’s going to be a lot of fund, no matter who is playing.

So, in case you’re trying to find me, I’m at the ball fields!
