Running With The Girl Friends!

My friends and I have decided to make a “running pact” in which we would all run together every Sunday evening and gossip on how to best stay in shape. We decided to make this pact because at this time, we each have a boyfriend, and we all want to stay in shape for our special guy.

Last Sunday, Sharon and Alex came over to my house before we started our run. We ate some crackers and celery for quick energy, packed our water bottles, and then before we went out I set my home security alarm (HOME ALARM SYSTEMS). Our route was to be a 5 mile track that went up Main Street, through the business district, and then back to my house for a light dinner. As we headed out, we gossiped on whose dress at school was horribly wrong for the person, who was dating who, and when we would get together for a night out. If you asked Alex, we were getting checked out as we ran through the business district, but I don’t think she is right in this case.

The run was successful, and we hung out at my place for the late evening, watching romance movies and eating a little popcorn. Hey, it is okay to indulge every once in a while, the popcorn was great! We plan on running next week again, this time with our boyfriends, to see who is in better shape.

How About Those Mavericks?

Seriously, how about those Dallas Mavericks?!

I’m sitting here watching them play the Portland Trailblazers in the 1st round of the NBA playoffs and they are playing amazingly well!  The game was super close, and rough, the first half.  In fact, there were several times I thought the teams were going to come to blows on the court.  At the half, the point differential was actually only 2 or 3 points, but now, at the end of the 3rd period, the Mavericks are leading by 18.  They really need the win, so I’m glad they came back out on the court ready to hustle.

Now, I just wish I could feel so positive about those White Sox.  I just don’t know what happened to them.  They started the season looking really strong, but half way through April they fell apart.  I hope they get it figured out soon, they were expected to have a much better season than what they’re having right now!

Why is it that just about every time I log in to my blog, the WordPress dashboard tells me there is yet another update?!  Seriously, I feel like the only thing I ever do is update WordPress.  As annoying as that is, I’m very thankful for the Automatic Upgrade process.  It is way faster than when I used to have to do it all manually.  In fact, I’m not sure I remember how to do it manually!

Anyway, guess I’m off to click the upgrade button, once again…
