Sleep Deprived
January 11, 2009 on 8:16 am | In Family Health | 4 CommentsIt’s a simple question, will someone please answer it?
Why is it that during the week, I cannot wake up and have several times slept past 7 a.m. when I am supposed to be getting up at 6:30. Then the weekend comes, I go to bed around the same time, but wake up at 6 a.m. and cannot for the life of me get back to sleep. WHY?!
I am sitting here now watching the sun come up. It’s beautiful, but why couldn’t I have slept for another hour while it was still dark outside? Do I need to see a doctor or is this a Doogie Howser question?

That would drive me nuts. Me, I just never want to get out of bed. Period.

Hey, I have been wondering that since I was a kid!!! For some reason my brother and I would be awake and watching cartoons before the sun came up on Saturday but had to be pushed pulled and dragged out of the bed through the week!!!

Lynn – I know what you mean, it’s weird. Normally, I don’t want to get out of bed either, but this past Sunday I was literally awake at 6 a.m. I say awake, but I still felt exhausted, I just couldn’t sleep. It drives me crazy!

Toni – It is odd isn’t it? There must be some sort of negative reaction to alarm clocks that makes us want to sleep more when we know we can’t!
