Homework Helper

Here we are, enjoying our final two days of vacation.  We arrived home from California late last night after a wonderful visit with my daughter-in-law and her family, including our beautiful grand daughter.  We had so much fun, and we didn’t even do anything except sit around the house together.  The key was that we were together.

Now we’re home and we’ve spent almost the entire day working on a homework project for my daughter’s 7th grade reading class.  She has to make a large poster/collage that represents her name and personality traits as determined by an earlier project that was completed in class.  So, my husband and I have spent all day clipping pictures from catalogs while she got photos off the internet.  She also had to draw a few.  Now we’re just having to fill in and then she just has to glue them down.

I really wanted to spend today catching up on some computer work since I had no internet while we were gone.  Guess I’ll have to do that tomorrow.  Why is it that teachers assign homework over a week long break?
