Hurricane Ike

Hurricane Ike has come and gone, leaving  a path of destruction in hardest hit Galveston and then north to Houston.  Forecasts predicted it would then head north, straight to the east side of Dallas.  Thankfully for us, it went further East than predicted and so, while we did get rain yesterday and some winds, it was nothing like what was forcasted.

While I am thankful that Dallas was spared, my prayers are sent to those who have suffered property damage or injury due to the hurricane.
