Back To School Nightmares

I woke up this morning completely exhausted.  I had a repetitive dream last night that my daughter forgot about the first day of school and was really slow in getting ready and getting out the door.  So slow that she wound up missing the bus and I had to drive her to school.  The biggest problem with that was that I had no idea where I was supposed to take her.  I was having panic attacks in my dream.

Reality is that I am really nervous about my daughter starting junior high in 2 weeks.  She is pretty excited about it though.  She rode a school bus from kindergarten through 5th grade, until we moved to Texas.  Last year I drove her to school and picked her up, it was her choice.  She could’ve ridden the bus, but she didn’t want to, I think because she didn’t know anyone on the bus.  This coming year she has decided to go back to riding the bus.  I probably would have had her do it anyway because the junior high is farther away and it’s more cost effective to have her take the bus.

Anyway, I’m off to run a few errands and then come home for a relaxing day on the computer with some coffee at my side.  Why do I have to be so nervous about her starting 7th grade?
