Home Repairs
April 15, 2008 on 12:08 pm | In Family | 2 CommentsI’m feeling better about our house at the moment. Our home was built in 2001, so you’d think it would be in very good condition. Unfortunately, the previous owners were fairly abusive to the house and so I’ve been doing repairs since we moved in last April.
This past weekend I finally finished repairing and painting the walls in our family room. It looks so much better, and, considering that’s the room we spend the majority of our time in, it feels good to have it done. I still have one small wall behind the shelves to repair and paint, but will have to wait until my husband can move the electronic equipment before I can get to it.
Today I had a plumber come out and he quickly hooked up our ice maker and repaired the bathtub/shower in my daughter’s bathroom. Neither have worked since we moved in. I’d had another guy come out several months ago, but he really didn’t seem to know what he was doing. I didn’t have him come back. Those were the last major repairs I think I needed to make and I’m feeling good that it’s finally done.
I still have a lot of work to do in my bedroom and the t.v. room upstairs, but I’ll get to those rooms later. Right now, I’m just going to enjoy what I have accomplished! ![]()
