Dry Eyes
April 14, 2008 on 9:29 am | In Some of This Some of That | 2 CommentsI have been wearing prescription eye glasses since I was 25 and began wearing contact lenses a few years later. At the time I first got contacts, I wore them every day, I never left the house without them in my eyes. I wore my glasses around the house at night. For me, contacts were the best thing since sliced bread!
Over the years, I began finding contacts to be uncomfortable. Initially, I was having discomfort because the contour of my eye itself was apparently changing and I had to be refitted. It’s interesting to learn about the shape of the eye and the measurements that need to be taken to ensure a correct contact fit. I have had a bad measurement done and was incorrectly fitted. On that occasion, my contacts would actually fall out of my eyes, especially if I teared. That was not a fun experience!
In the last 5 years or so, my eyes began feeling very dry. I believe it’s just part of aging, but it made wearing contacts very uncomfortable. I talked with my optometrist about it and he recommended Acuvue Oasys lenses. These particular lenses are designed to help the eye stay moist and feeling fresh. These lenses help my dry eyes and 1-800-GET-LENS helps my pocketbook by saving me money when buying these lenses.
Now that we’ve moved to the Dallas area, an area known for high allergens, it’s even more important to me to keep my eyes feeling moist. It’s not always easy to do when there are so many dusts and pollens in the air. I’m glad to have a contact lens that can help me out!
Spam Commentors
April 14, 2008 on 9:08 am | In Blogging | Comments OffI’m not sure why, but this site is a magnet for spam comments. Thankfully, I do have more than one form of spam comment protection so these comments don’t get published, but it’s still annoying.
This particular comment almost did make it through the akismet spam protector though and it surprised me. It also really ticked me off because hey, I am no way a “dude” and even if I were, it’s no way to address someone. So, if you like to leave comments even remotely similar to this one, it won’t be approved by me.
Hey dude,
I have a list of some article directories such as ********, *************, etc.
But, I have never come across with this one.
Thanks for sharing it here.;)

If your website is nothing but ad, or your comment is only trying to receive a linkback, it will be deleted. Don’t bother putting your web link in your comment. If you’re legitimate, your web address will be included when your comment is published, this is a “do follow” blog. If your comment is legitimate, I will visit your site in return and, if I have something to say, I will leave a comment on your site in return.
Again, I welcome any legitimate comments!
