Judah Ben Hur has Passed Away

Charlton Heston passed away at his home last night at the age of 84.  His wife Lydia was by his side.  The two had been married for 64 years.  That is an accomplishment in itself.

Heston portrayed Judah Ben Hur in my husband’s all time favorite movie, “Ben Hur”.   This movie is still tied for the record of most Oscar awards received by a movie, 11.  Only “Titanic” (1997) and “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”(2003) have received that many.

The cause of death has not yet been released.  Charlton Heston was an icon in the movie world and has definitely left his mark.  He will certainly be remembered.
