I am thinking that it’s about time I get back to work on painting the walls in our house and fixing some minor repair issues as well. I was looking for inspiration when I ran across this photo and found it to be so very pretty and yet functional. Our bathrooms don’t currently need remodeling, but if they did, I’d certainly consider this double sink, wouldn’t you?

Our furnishings are very casual, I definitely like people, including us, to feel comfortable when they are here. I think I could mix in a piece of modern furniture here and there and still maintain the level of comfort and appeal that we currently have.

I’m thinking I might go buy a gallon of paint tomorrow and get back to the walls. I know my husband will be relieved when the family room is finally done. We’re both a little tired of looking at the painter’s tape!

10 Days Remaining

So, there are only 10 days remaining to file your U.S. income taxes without an extension.  Have you filed yet?

Our tax documents are with our accountant, he’ll probably be finished with them on Monday and he’ll e-file them.  I’m a bit nervous, hopefully we won’t owe anything.  It’s always difficult to tell in a year when we bought and sold a home and had a company paid relocation where all of the relocation expenses get added on as income.  Some of those expenses are then deductible, but others are not.

I’m just ready to know whether we owe or not and move on.  I believe this is the latest in the year we’ve filed in quite some time.  How about you?
