Stress List Update

March 2, 2008 on 8:11 am | In My Imagination | 7 Comments

On Friday, I wrote about my insomnia and how I was overwhelmed with things I needed to get done. While the last two nights haven’t been much of an improvement where sleep is concerned, I wanted to update my to-do list. I also want to mention that yesterday was my daughter’s birthday celebration with her two friends. It went off without a hitch and I do believe the three of them had a very good time.

My updated list. (It helps reduce my stress when I can cross things off the list!)

  • Clean house in preparation for daughter’s sleepover party
  • Make restaurant reservations for tomorrow night’s birthday celebration
  • Saturday – spend the day at the mall with daughter and her friends as part of her birthday party
  • Saturday night – sleepover party (hoping to lock myself away in my room)
  • Sunday – take girls to IHOP for breakfast (late)
  • Create embroidery design for Destination Imagination team shirts
  • Create team shirts by next Friday (one week)
  • Monday – Meet with guitar instructor about job, hopefully set a schedule
  • Monday – DI meeting
  • Tuesday – guitar lesson and probably do some work while we’re there
  • Tuesday – daughter’s actual birthday so we will go out to dinner at the restaurant of her choice
  • Wednesday -work at guitar studio (A.M.), DI meeting, (afternoon), software class (evening)
  • Thursday – work at guitar studio (A.M) DI meeting (afternoon)
  • Friday – possible DI meeting
  • Saturday – Destination Imagination Regional Tournament (all day and into the evening)
  • Sunday – stay in pajamas all day (I wish) or, if team does well enough to be selected to go to State, attend State meeting in the afternoon
  • Monday – work at guitar studio, DI meeting, softball practice
  • etc., etc., etc.,

  1. I am glad you are so young. Your list wears me out. I’m glad T had a fun bd gathering. I think her card from me might be a day late. Hope not though.

  3. Karen – I’m not feeling so young lately, I need some sleep and can’t find any!

Tammie – Spare time? What’s that? It just occurred to me at 4 A.M. that I hadn’t checked my email all weekend! Hope nobody sent me anything important! Thus the reason I have to make lists! :-D

  4. I always write a list. Not only that it makes me feel more safe not to forget anything but crossing something on your to do List makes you feel way better.

  5. Maria – I love being able to cross things off a to-do list! It help me feel that I’ve accomplished something. Also helps me not forget to do things! :-D

  6. I make lists too, frequently while doing other things, so the items end up on my arm, mom hates that! I hope you get some sleep, and keep the lists you’ve already crossed things off of, you’ll feel great when you’ve got two done and only half of one to go.

  7. Thanks for the encouraging words Stacy! I’m trying hard not to panic, but I’m definitely looking forward to next week and having all of this behind me! :-D
