Financial To Do List

This is the time of year when there are so many things on my financial to do list. Of course, the obvious thing right now is income taxes. I have most of my paper work gathered together. Now, I need to organize the paperwork and then get it sent off to our accountant. There are also a few other items on my list, so here is my complete list.

• Complete Benefits Open Enrollment information
• Compile Income Tax information and send to CPA
• Open new IRA
• Balance Check Book

Obviously, the first three items are annual events, but very important. It just happens that they all need to be done now. The last item is a monthly event, something I do as part of my debt management for our household. Over the past month or so, I have also been working on debt consolidation and with interest rates dropping recently, I’ve even been considering refinancing our home mortgage to reduce our payments. To keep from feeling overwhelmed, however, I’m going to stick with my current to-do list as it now stands without adding more to it.
