Spears Loses Custody

January 5, 2008 on 6:46 am | In Some of This Some of That | 4 Comments

Thursday night, when Kevin Federline’s representatives went to pick up the children, Britney Spears locked herself in a bathroom with one of the children.  The individual assigned to monitor Britney’s visitation with the children decided that this had become an unsafe situation for the kids and called the police.  Britney was then taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Yesterday, the judge overseeing the case has taken away any visitation rights with her children for a period of two weeks.  Britney has remained in the hospital for evaluation.  It is unknown if she was intoxicated or using any substance, or if she just had a breakdown.  Either way, most professionals agree that Britney Spears has been in a downward spiral for months and is in need of very serious help.

  2. It is sad. I saw the family spokesperson on the Today show this morning pleading for understanding of the Spears family difficulties!

  3. First of all, I LOVE your new blog! Congrats! :)

Secondly, I think the whole Spears family is a train wreck. Those two people who call themselves Britney and Jamie Lynn’s parents are the farthest thing from parents that I have ever seen! They failed those girls on a monumental scale. Where was Britney supposed to learn responsible parenting? From them? No way. God knows what Jamie Lynn is going to be like as a teen mother! Having said that, though, Britney is an adult and must be held accountable for her actions as both a human being and a mother. She needs help in a very big way. I hope she gets it.

  4. Thanks Leigh!

And I agree with you 100% on the entire Spears saga. It about made me sick watching their family spokesperson last week pleading for compassion. That is one screwed up family.
