Is it just my imagination or did it finally change to Winter here in North Texas?

This is the second morning in a row that it has been 21 degrees when I’ve gotten out of bed.  Yesterday, it prompted me to put the flannel sheets on the bed, something I was very much enjoying as the alarm went off this morning.  In the two hours since, it has warmed up a mere 6 degrees.  If there were snow on the ground I’d think we were back in Illinois!

It’s such a strange feeling because there are still leaves on most of the trees and there are a few bushes in bloom even.  It just really has not felt like winter.  Even now that it is so cold, it just feels odd.  Oh well, not too much time to dwell on it because by Saturday we are supposed to be back up to 70 degrees.  Good weather for taking down all the outside holiday lights!

  1. Strange here to, 60′s in the day and 40′s at night, I don’t know what to wear in the morning. I thought it was gonna be warm all the time.

  2. We warmed up again Stacy, it was around 70 yesterday and almost 80 today. It even got humid, certainly didn’t feel like January. It’s super windy too. The dog likes it, she’s been out chasing all the stuff that’s blowing around the yard in the wind!
