Wordpress Theme

November 30, 2007 on 3:36 pm | In Some of This Some of That |

As you can see, I’ve changed the theme back to the default Wordpress theme again.  The other theme was having all types of code problems with comments and responding to comments that I finally had to get rid of it.  It also wouldn’t work with the comment email responder plug-in which I really like using, so I knew something had to be done.

When I have more time I will look for a nicer looking theme, but for now this will have to do.  If you know of any good themes that work with Wordpress 2.3.1, feel free to let me know.

  2. Ok–you have to cut the –but out of the link above…and it will work better! Yep—I’m a dork!

  3. I had that sort of problem when I upgraded too. However the comment e-mail responder works with 2.3.1. I had to deactivate everything else and then turn things on one by one. But the comment responder works with 2.3.1.

Also wanted to let you know about a couple of contests I am doing this month on my blogs. Left the link on my name on this comment if you are interested.

  4. Robyn - You thief! Just kidding! It’s a free theme, so I’m surprised I haven’t seen more of it around!
There were a number of things I didn’t like about the theme I just tried for this site, but when I have some time I’m going to look for another one and I might just take you up on your tweaking offer! Tweaking makes me nervous and I’d rather let somebody else do it! :-D

  5. Thanks Drew! I did get the email responder to work with this theme, I just couldn’t get it with the theme I downloaded. Both of which are supposedly 2.3.1 compatible. oh well, that’s the way it goes sometimes!

  6. I’m afraid that one of my blogs might face similar compatibility issues when I upgrade to 2.3.1

  7. Well Perros, I would upgrade cautiously if I were you. I’ve had nothing but problems with WP 2.3.1 :-(
